While we adore the charm of rainy wedding days, we understand your guests may not be as big of fans. You can be confident that no matter what the weather holds, your day will be perfect. Here are some protocols and tips to help you feel adequately prepared:
Invites- We encourage you to inform your guests that your event is outside! This helps them come dressed ready for the occasion- whether its an umbrella, the right shoes or a light jacket, they will appreciate the sentiment.
Rain Plan Options- The venue manager (if you’ve not hired our coordinator) will be on site to assist as you make final decisions about your ceremony. If rains are inevitable, we will assist you in making that call 3 or more hours prior to the event time. This ensures we are adequately prepared for your ceremony under the reception tent.
Having a designated point person is very helpful to to ensure your seating chart, welcome sign, etc are in the correct locations for guests entrance. If you’ve hired our Day of Coordinator, she will manage these details.
If rain is on the forecast for your wedding on the night of your rehearsal, we encourage you to do a quick walk through of your rain plan.
Our best tip is to hold your day loosely when it comes to the weather. Some of our favorite ceremonies have been held in the rain and we believe so much beauty lies in the things we can’t control. If you desire to host your ceremony in the rain, we’ll be behind it!
We will be available help assist in making your day perfect. Rain or shine!
