TITLE: Event Assistant/ Seasonal Site Staff
JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Seasonal (May-October)
General Job Description: The Cypress House is seeking energetic and dependable individuals to join our team for the 2026 wedding season! As a small business, we pride ourselves on creating unforgettable, curated experiences, and our Event Assistants are the backbone of that mission.
What You’ll Do
Because we are a small business, our needs and tasks vary by the day. Responsibilities include:
Event Setup & Tear Down: Moving tables, chairs, and decor.
Guest Management: Greeting and assisting guests throughout the evening.
Parking Coordination: Helping guests navigate arrival and parking safely.
Site Maintenance: Keeping the property clean, cleaning throughout events, and property prep in the early season.
Shift Times & Availability
Work is based on our wedding schedule, primarily focusing on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Prep/Setup Shifts: Typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Event/Teardown Shifts: Typically 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM / 12:00 AM
*Applicants must have Event/ Teardown shift availability, as these make up the majority of available shifts.
Qualifications
Hardworking: You are comfortable being on your feet and can lift/move event equipment.
Personable: You are friendly and helpful to guests and fellow staff. The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with vendors or potential clients that may be on the property is required.
Reliable & Punctual: You show up on time and ready to work. Must have reliable transportation.
Flexible: You’re happy to jump in wherever help is needed in a small business environment.
